Wicklow
Rural Partnership Ltd (WRP) is a community based rural development
company working in Co. Wicklow. It's principal responsibility
is the delivery of the LEADER + and National Rural Development
Programme (NRDP) in Co. Wicklow outside the areas of Bray,
Rathmichael, and part of Kilmacanogue.
Our
Mission Statement
"through
a process of partnership and co-operation, to develop the
capacity of individuals and communities by supporting the
economic, social, cultural and environmental improvement of
the catchment area of Wicklow Rural Partnership."
Wicklow
Rural Partnership Ltd has been key to the establishment and
development of a number of other rural development organisations
within Co. Wicklow; these include Wicklow
Information Network, Wicklow
Uplands Council, Wicklow
Rural Transport Initiative, Wicklow Communities Networking
and the Kildare Wicklow EQUAL Programme.
Members of the Board and Staff of WRP are actively involved
in the operation and management of all of the above organisations.
